We make a living by what we get,
but make a life by what we give.

Last Saturday, I finally had e` chance to meet up with my beloved friend, Steph. :)
It has been 2 months since i last saw her. can say tt i miss her like siao. ahha.
We met @ cck station ctrl and headed to Suki Sushi to have buffet.
We were super duper hungry larrs.
Esp Steph. Wah, her appetite has grown.
Much worse than mine. haha.
While e` waiter was still tking down our orders, she just grabbed a plate of salmon.
i was thinking, "this girl is really mad abt salmon eh?"
haha.
well, to many who doesnt know abt this, it was my first time eating raw salmon.
hmm.. well glad tt there isn't any funny smell or taste afterall. ^-^
ok, so plates after plates, we just took fr e` belt & ate non stop.
It was only after eating for half an hr or more tt steph realised tt we've been eating too much riceee.
which means, actually we are entitled to order ala carte items,
cos e` buffet does not restrict us to eat solely sushi.
We can order ala carte too.
haha. we were so stupid larr. but thank God steph discovered it early.
so, happily we ordered many ala cartes.
steph is really a salmon freak.
i dont know how many plates of salmon has she eaten. she's crazy. haha.
After a hearty lunch, we decided to walk ard.
But after walking for not long, we decided to sit down again. haha.
We chilled at delifrance- sharing a cup of hot chocolate & some mini pastries.
hehe. see, we can really eat huh. :)
Yupp. hot snacks, hot drink on a rainy sat afternoon.
just e` right atmosphere for us to share our hearts.
we talked abt various things.
mostly career. (well, frankly, what else can poly graduates talk abt?)
had a heart felt talk with her and shared abt lots of things.
Indeed, teaching is not easy at all.
People who r driven by passion to teach r struggling.
I wonder what abt those ech graduates whose interests n passion is not in teachin now?
where will they go, what will they choose?
After hearing steph's sharing, i m glad tt above all e` -ve circumstance,
she still finds pleasure in what she's doing. just like peh, & jan. :)
isnt it wonderful?
2 more mths to go b4 i start school.
yeah. back to student life again.
i loveee it.
i wonder what're e` challenges ahead of me.
Adjustin e` transition fr pre-sch settings to primary or even a secondary is not easy eh.
But i know God will never mess up my life.
Be it good or bad, I know He will be there. :)

Today is the birthday celebration of e` youngest member of my family.
CLARICE LOW LE XUAN!!! tada..!!
haha.
Her actual birthday is on this tuesday, 17th.
But we brought e` celebration forward so tt it's easier for everyone to attend.
Birthdays are always happy. :)
The food, the well wishes, the noise, the atmosphere, balloons, parties...
& not forgetting e` presence of ur loved ones spending e` day with u.
It's always fun.
Most of all, to many ppl, birthday is e` only time they can ever make a wish.
tt's y it holds a great meaning to many ppl.
Well for me, after being a Christian, birthday wish is no longer a big huuhaa for me.
Cos I can pray & be assured tt ALL my prayers will be fulfilled by God.
It's like every moment of my life, be it when i'm eating, shitting or shopping,
I can just talk to God and make a wish just like tt.
Isn't it amazing? :)
Though i've been a believer of e` Christian faith for less than 2 years,
I can say tt it has been a very fruitful, blessed & enjoyable journey.
Adventurous & exciting.
WHY?
Bcos' life as a Christian is not just abt attending church services faithfully,
participating in every single church events,
or be well versed in biblical content.
Rather, it is abt establishing a living relationship with God.
Neither is He a God who is dead, nor one whom we can only draw near to
when we need something fr Him.
He is one whom i can call as my friend.
Omnipresent. Reliable.
All along, I've not regretted my decision to be a christian at all.
I'd made many prayers,
seen many life transforming miracles,
& encountered God more than once.
If anyone were to ask me what is that one thing i desire from God,
I would say,
"That on e` day I'm called back to unite with Him,
I can hear Him whispering to me, Daughter, I am proud of you."

IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN! WOOHOO!
Sad to say, friday seems to be the only motivation i have for work now.
Seriously, i dread to go work everyday.
Arrgh.
The boring filing tt i have to do aimlessly everyday..
Not forgetting the daily 1 h lunch break tt i have to spend alone.
Well, looking @ the brighter side of life,
I am thankful tt God has placed me in a place like Chinatown
where tasty yet affordable food just overwhelms the entire street.
Hong Lim Hawker Centre is a must-go man.
Anyway, I met my dear Felicia for dinner today.
Went Maxwell Market.
Ooo.. what a sight.
Apparently on such a typical friday night, there is some BIG ah pek events going on.
Ah peks drinking beer with young ladies dressing in spaghettic tops & mini skirts serving them... brrr.
Something super embarrassing happened right before us.
Oh man. Felicia was laughing like dunno what larrss.
So pai sey sia.
Anyway we left tt place immediately after our dinner.
Had a heartfelt talk @mac & headed home. :)
Went for my SNO briefing @MOE yest.
Guess who i saw! Fiona from ech!!
So happy to see her. haha.
Both of us are the youngest candidates in the entire briefing lor.
haha. well, we do feel inferior as most of the candidates r either trained professionals or teachers with rich working experiences.
But heck lar.. we're not tt bad afterall.
Graduates of e` Sch of Humanities leiss. haha.
Anyway, there r many things that i wanna give thanks to God.
First, i received a letter from np a few days ago.
Such a surprise to know tt my group has received an award for our IEP!!!
A pleasant surprise for all of us.
I can recall the days where i struggled so hard in IEP.
Being e` leader wasnt easy at all. Lots of expectations & approval to meet.
But He has been with me throughout.
"Success isnt easy, but it's definitely possible with GOD around."
The above statement is what i've been holding onto in these 3 yrs. :)
Next, last Sat and Sun were the Miracle Healing Service @my church.
I was really surprised tt my Dad actually agreed to attend e` Hokkien service!
HALLELUJAH.
As Ps Khong opened up the altar for healing,
my dad n i rushed forward and requested a pastor to pray for him.
I didnt expect my dad to accept the healing from God so readily.
i mean, my dad has been a believer of the Taoist faith for more than 50 years.
Expecting him to attend a church service is really impossible.
Witnessing him to declare that prayer loud & clear is totally amazing & unbelievable.
Tears of joy & gratitude rolled down uncontrollably down my cheeks.
I cant help but to thank God for answering my prayers.
The challenging issue is not about whether can or will God heals,
it is whether we want to believe in Him or not.
It doesnt require us to possess great faith in order to move the hand of God,
even the faith as small as a mustard seed, is enough.
I thank God for all that He has done & will be doing for me & my family.
Life as a Christian is really exciting.
Life as an active warrior of God is even more exciting!!
I am proud to be His warrior, His daughter, His princess.

Yesterday was Good Friday.
A blessed and wonderful day with the entire tribe.
Reached Touch Centre at 9am for congre.
Word was given by Joanna.
*clap*
It was excellent.
God has really released the River of hope, healing & faith through her.
As the familiar song was sung, i was reminded abt how graceful & good God is.
How unworthy i am and how He still chose to redeem me through His blood.
His death, His blood, the Cross will not be forgotten by me.
God, thank u so much. You know how much You mean to me.
After congre was followed by a hearty lunch @Roland Restaurant.
Felicia and I couldnt help but to take many 2nd servings of the rice.
haha. just too hungry.
Thank God for the chance tt the DMN Family could sit together & fellowship.
Though not all were present, i am thankful for the rest of my sisters who had come.
Indeed God is always with us, and with faith n constant prayers,
breakthrough will come.
Isnt it, mom? Rmb, ASk B i g :)
After lunch, we headed to East Coast Park for Amazing Race.
It was fun!
Rode a double bike with Jacq & had a wonderful sharing session.
I had a super embarrasing encounter at east coast park.
i entered into the gents at cable ski restaurant.
i was like, "S H I T!" and i immediately ran out.
Felicia laughed so loud lar.. made me damn pai sey.
Thank God i didnt see anything tt i wasnt suppposed to.
*phew*
Had another round of feasting @Macdonalds.
Crapping & laughin abt my "encounter".
All of us were dead beat n super duper tired.
But still, we went to town to shop!
Florence mei mei bought a bag! hehe. nice sia.
I bought a top fr Esprit too.
Hv not been shopping for the past 3 weeks.
finally had a chance to! haha. shiok.
There will be Miracle Healing today and tmr at my church.
So exciting!
I've invited my dad down for the hokkien service.
reallie hope he will come.. the dmns r praying for him too.
Tmr all of us shall respond to the altar call n prayed for healing over our eye sight!
Woohoo.
I shall receive power when the Spirit comes on me.

Something unbelievable happened to me 2 days ago.
Ok, i went for an MOE interview (for the position of a Special Needs Officer) a mth ago.
It was screw up. alrite, shall not elaborate on it since i'd alr written an entry regarding it.
So several weeks after the interview came a letter from MOE again.
It was about a required medical examination.
Part of the procedures for the application as an SNO.
At tt point of time, i decided to forgo it.
Cos i was still unsure whether i wanna accept SNO anot.
Morover at tt time, i was pretty sure tt i wont be accepted by them too.
Yupp. so i thought that was e` end of SNO.
2 days ago, i received a call from MOE.
To my utmost surprise, i was accepted - despite the fact tt i did not go for the required medical examination.
When the officer hung up, i said to myself, "This is crazy."
I was really stunned as i nv expect myself to be selected by them.
i was shocked for the whole one hour.
Speechless n mind blocked.
i mean, How could it possibly happen!
It's really unbelievable.
I ringed up many people, listening to tons of advices.
so my final decision after much praying, i shall g o f o r i t.
I will be lying if i say i'm fearless abt this new experience.
however, one thing im for sure is tt,
since God has intervened & made a way for me,
I know His hand shall remain.
I am truly thankful.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a future..."
-Jeremiah 29:11-
