1 I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?

Barnabas.

Have been serving together with carine for 5 months. last sun was our first time seeing the girls jumping so excitedly during worship! we were just so happy & thankful. for these kids, it's just so hard to make them jump & praise. no matter what we do/say, it just doesnt work. surprisingly on last sun, they were so willing & happy to do so. praise god!

God blessed us with a new member - Hazel! i'm glad she still remembers us. she left for a period of time and is back now! e` girls were so welcoming & friendly as they introduced themselves. glad tt there was no awkwardness. they were bragging abt each other's strengths! hahas. glad tt cohesion is building up. :)

I'm enjoying Barnabas. it was hard initially.. meeting certain expectations & waking early every sun. but God's strong visitation every sun gives me e` motivation to serve & look forward. i believe God has a higher purpose for carine and me.. far beyond and greater than what we can ever imagine. =)

anyways, we love birthdays!! i think it is our group's culture to celebrate everyone's bday! celebrated melissa's, michelle's & chuimin's. today we celebrated carine's! e` girls are so sweet.. they brought her to the toilet so tt i could set up the candles. when they were returning to the room, they told her to cover her eyes & ushered her into the room where all of us sang her a birthday song! i think she's so touched surprised lars. hahas.

after service, the dmns celebrated jasmine & carine's bday, and mothers' day! shirley baked a cake for mothers' day!!! it's a heart shaped cake!!!

10th Birthday

Last week of TP.

This week is e` last week of my TP! finally more relaxed & nt so intimidating for us.
Ystd headed to marina sq with este & peiwen to shop for gifts. we bought chocz chocolates & dust cleaners from action city! it's really a headache to hunt for gifts. but everything was settled within half a day & within budget! =)

After our invigilation today, we gathered at my table & made some cards for our P & VPs. e` 2 girls are good man! the DIY cards look so presentable & unique! certainly a piece of art. haha. one of them is an art teacher so no wonder larrs. i didnt contribute much. only helped in trimming, pasting & of course tking photos! e` entire staff room was filled with our thunderous laughter. it's a miracle nobody chased us out. ahhas. one of e` teachers who walked past us said, "woah.. you all very "eng" (free in hokkien) hor.." but she's nice lar.. volunteered to help us vet our grammatical errors in e` cards. ahhas.

DMNS Outings

it's all about eating.... when the DMNS get together.

11 Apr. Shokudo @Raffles City.

28 Apr. Bugis & Esplanade.

Shokudo is so nicee! nice envt with nice food. no wonder the queue was so long. we waited for an hour to get a seat. but it was worth it. my fav were the raw salmon, omelette & mango ice. though i'm not a mango lover at all, i cant help but to slurp it all up! it's just so nice. hahas.

2 weeks later, we met for another round of feasting! ate zicha @bugis, followed by desserts @esplanade. if you think Gelare serves the tastiest waffles, u shld try the one at esplanade - Max Brenner Chocolate Bar. e` waffles r soft, serve with chocolate syrup, ice cream & berries. it's totally heavenly. their Oreo Shake is nice too. not too sweet, just nice. it gives us a very soothing feeling after we drank it. jus like babies who fell asleep as they're drinking their milk. i feel e` same way too as i was enjoying my oreo shake. yummo-mo!

Shape Run - FULL

I've registered for this run! Missed it last yr. Told myself i cant miss it this yr. cos it's e` only marathon whose sponsor is nike!! hahas. yep, i love freebies. haha. anyway the responses are too overwhelming. e` registration was full on the tenth day! can u imagine 8000 ladies registered within 10 days?! craaazzy. my dajie, shir & qp missed it! they're so upset lar.. i am too. but shir promises she'll be there with me! =)
