Crocs Sale Challenge

Just returned from the crazy Croc sale at expo.
It was indeed a challenge for me.
Squeezing in the crowd to snatch and shout for the best deal,
Queuing in the never-ending payment counter,
Carrying a bag, a laptop, and a shopping bag filled with Crocs.
But it's worth it. Cos the deal is just too good to be true.
All the items range from $20-$25 only!
I cant believe that i bought 5 pairs of Crocs and 17 jib-bitz at only $120!!!

A date with e` twins :)

Had an unforgettable date with the twins last wk! It's a great joy to see them growing so much! Especially didi, he was so tiny a year ago and had to put in ICU. Look how much he has grown! & how cheeky he is now too. hahas. It isnt easy to look after them. They're so active, always on the go!!!

A brand-new SNO Room

Finally the plain and dusty room of mine had a make-over! My counselor, together with my colleagues, helped to paint my special needs room. Just a few days ago, i settled on a sunflower picturesque after browsing through hundreds of images at corbis. Initially I wanted to paint the Grand Canyon with an eagle soaring above it. But I'm afraid it's too intimidating for my students.
Made a last min change to sunflowers and rainbow instead. At least it's more pleasant & gentle looking. More imptly, it corresponds to my hope for the room - confidence & worthiness.

The painting took us 2 days. It was tiring and our backs ached at e` end of it. Most of the drawings and paintings were done by my counselor. She's really talented. We were so awed by her love and talent for painting. Most of all, i'm encouraged by her kindness and love for people. Though I'm a greenhorn in painting and teaching, she never fails to believe & motivate me. Just like ystd, among all the sunflowers, mine is the ugliest. But she never despised, questioned or stopped me from moving on. She gave me the ownership and power to decide and step out of my comfort zone to venture into sth new. At the age of 67, she's still so active, bubbly and energetic. Her joy and strength come from serving God. I'm impressed that such a dynamic woman is so dependent on God. :)

Anyway, the cleaning up wasn't easy. I had to scrub off the unwanted stains & cleaned the entire room. In addition, due to the renovation in the staff room, i had to move all my barang to my room - which means more cleaning and tidying up. At the end of the day, i was just so tired & smelly. :p nevertheless, i'm so thankful for the new look of my room! certainly more appealing and yes, jus found out last night that one of my students loves sunflowers too!

Great Eastern Marathon 2008

I missed it last year. bad cough.
Not gonna miss it this yr, and i didn't!
Have been training hard & looking forward.
The event has received lots of positive reviews so i ought to see it for myself.
Anyway, it was not a good run for me.
Clocked in at 1hr 8mins while 大姐 achieved her personal best at 1hr!
So proud of her. her mind over body power... none can ever beat.

ARC Graduation Day

My 3rd graduation.
i know... not again! haha.
that was the first response my erjie gave me!

It was a small scale graduation, but definitely a memorable one.
The days at ARC & Pathlight were just so wonderful.
The clique, the lecturers, the nonsensical jokes & laughter....
more imptly, the individuals who have impacted us.

Updates for Oct

Francis is back! He was sent to Medan for 2 weeks. poor dear, the sanitation & food were.. ah-hem. Well, a good training for him i guess. he has become much more contented & appreciative of sg now. yeah! no more moody and lonely Saturdays for me! :)

Sch holidays are here. have been busy doing reviews and planning the past one week. more to go! have been sitting whole day fr 8-5. Ah! lazy bone. Sth that i'll look forward to this week will be my graduation! haha. not again! this will be my 3rd. however it's also the first time that my parents are available to attend. definitely looking forward to the feast we'll be having after e` graduation. :)

Anyway, i attended my niece's sch concert last fri, at Sembawang Presbyterian Church. What can i say! The teachers & children r awesome! An uncontrolled nostalgic feeling overwhelmed me as i watched the performance. Has an urge to return to the pre-sch envt. Not that e` current field isn't ideal, it's just always so joyful to work with little ones. Anyway, it took me some time to realise that all my nephew and nieces are in christian pre-schools! They have startled their parents with their worship & prayers. Jia jia even sang "Hallelujah..." loudly when she was in a temple at hong kong. ha. i really cant help laughing.

She has grown! so proud of her.

Worshiping God with all their might & heart.

Amen to that!
