Top Dating Agenda: eat. drink. & be merry!
2 wks ago, Francis strongly recommended the Indian cuisine at Turf city. Frankly speaking, i was pretty scared when he brought up the suggestion. I'm not being racist here, but i just don't feel comfortable with Indian food. The spices and oil... but my opinion changed when i tasted the food. It's nice. Neither too oily nor spicy. Esp the naan and butter chicken.
Next came Indian food again. Tiong Bahru Plaza (Mr Teh Tarik). We only ordered 2 pieces of roti prata since we'd dinner before tt. hmm. the pricing is very exp. and the roti prata isnt very nice. I still prefer the one at Kent Ridge and "The Roti Prata House" at Thomson. Theirs are much more crispy and fragrant.
Finally we settled for some "safer" food. haha. Hong Kong cuisine at Happy Valley. e` exciting part was, we got to see the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic as we ate. Their desserts and zha jiang mian r gd! Service was gd and fast too. Lai Lai Kitchen (opp Parco Bugis) is equally nice too. Esp their milk tea. It tastes like the one my aunty made! (she opens a bubble tea restaurant in taiwan). i enjoyed the milky taste and chewy pearls.
Our nxt makan place will be sunset way. Discovered it on our way to The Daily Scoop (an ice cream restaurant) to celebrate florence's birthday. Sunset way seems like a mini holland village now, with different eateries (jap, western, steamboat, dessert, bar). i like the atmosphere and scenary at night when the lights r litted up. Looks alike to fisherman village. What's more, it's so convenient and near our house. haha.

Fun with Family.
Had regular runs with my da-jie lately. We're each other's running buddies now. I'm really inspired by her. Our fav running route is Botanic Gardens. She ran with so much zest and joy during e`Nike Human Race. She clocked 1hr 6min flat! A 35 yr old mom with 2 kids and a career to juggle with, she's my inspiration. :)
We had a good run! Broke our personal best timing. And she's now all ready to sign up 21km for Standard Chartered! Ryan is also joining the Kids Dash! Looks like my family is all ready for runs!
Took leave ystd and spent my entire afternoon with the twins! they've grown so much! di-di is no longer tiny. mei-mei is still as chubby. haha. And they fight!!! Got to see their 'true colors' ystd during play-time. they're so active and "wormy". haha. they're always on the go & i can't imagine how my sanjie could take care of 3 kids & household chores single handedly during the day. She's my inspiration. Anyway, thank God for His provision and blessing. The twins and my sister had almost fell badly many many times. But eventually they always 平安无事. Even my sanjie who is a buddhist also agreed that God has sent many angels to protect her. :) may God continue to be with them!
Fun with Friends.
Last month after National Day celebration, headed to Amanda & Alicia's hse with Carine. Played blind mouse and hide and seek with them. it was really fun. hadnt played such games for a long time. A good workout for us!
Celebrated Teachers' Day at Chevron for hi-tea buffet. Being a new staff in the sch, i was kana sabo by answering some "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" questions. Thank God i survived through. hahas.
Visited Maria & baby Brennen on Monday. He's so cutee!!! Big round eyes that look so innocent & pure. And Maria looks good too! Looks joyful & blessed. We brought tons of food to her hse, macham grand celebration. haha. as usual. followed by another round of sinful food at sunset way.
Celebrated Florence's birthday ystd. we made a surprise visit to her hse & she was really shocked! hahas. bought a judo bear (we named him/her Faith) from Make-a-bear factory for her. According to carine, it's an "autistic" bear. cos part of the purchase will be donated to Autism Association. :) A good deed.
Fun being a SNO.
Received my very first gift on SNOs' day. It was a card and a starfish magnet. Was very touched by the words on the card, a starfish story. & he was my very first student. It really doesn't matter how much we can offer, cos afterall, it's love that counts.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end. [1 Cor 13]
